This is not actually a true representation of what this room looked like when we moved in. This room also had wood paneling and this "before" picture shows the walls after David removed the paneling and scraped the drywall. This room took three coats of plaster to get the walls smooth again.
Since we did not know if we were having a boy or girl, we chose a butter yellow color for the walls, which complimented our nursery theme the "Real Love" collection by John Lennon. The furniture is a beautiful maple color and was a baby gift from Grammy Stypula to Hannah. The crib actually transforms from crib, to toddler bed to full-size bed, so Hannah will have the furniture her whole childhood.
Originally we were going to have a mural painted on one wall, but finances didn't allow. And once we had the furniture moved in we realized that a mural really wouldn't be seen very well. So instead we decided to hang a display shelf above the crib to hang a gorgeous handmade afghan by Lisa (David's sister). Unfortunately the pictures of this room do not do it justice, but none the less, to see more pictures of the nursery, click here.
